The course aims to develop and nurture among students a better understanding of people and his experiences in society; develop a positive attitude towards his own culture relative to the different cultures all over the world and familiarize students with matters concerning social responsibility
This is an introductory course in Sociology designed to orient the students the basic Sociological concepts and realities in the Philippine society. As a foundation course, a little of every little common social concern is taken in this course. The exercises and examples should be focused in the Philippine. A special segment is allotted for Population Education.
