This course explores the fundamental principles, processes, and practices anchored on learner-centeredness and other educational psychologies as these apply to facilitate various teaching-learning delivery modes to enhance learning. This course is intended for first-year education students, or any student who wants to be familiar with the concept of “learner or student-centered teaching” and the underlying principles that come with it. As the course name suggests, this will help the students learn how to facilitate not just for their future students’ learning but for their own learning as well.
This course follows a lecture type in a flexible learning format. Students are expected to demonstrate their learning by designing a learning/activity plan as an introductory activity in lesson planning. Their understanding of the concepts and principles of learning will also be displayed in the activities embedded in the activity plan through a demonstration.
