  • Descriptive Title: Irrigation and Drainage Engineering
  • Course Description:

The course Irrigation and Drainage Engineering focuses on the principles of soil-plant-water relationships; water flow measurements; use and selection of pumps; survey of irrigation and drainage systems; system planning and design.  This course is a combination of lectures and laboratory exercises.

 

ABE111 comprises 36 hours lectures and 56 units lab covering its basic concepts up to its corresponding applications. All the materials such as lecture videos, PowerPoint and pdf presentations, and laboratory exercises will be uploaded in LMS--an online platform designed for flexible learning. Materials will be uploaded weekly ( based on the projected schedule of topics in this syllabus), all the lectures and corresponding mode of assessment will be given online. Quizzes, problem sets, and major examinations will be given to students enrolled in this course to assess their learnings and capabilities.
