This course will provide students with introductions to essential theories and concepts of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and includes discussions of the multimodal interfaces and virtual reality . Primarily, this course is concerned with designing interactions between human and the computational systems that support them, with constructing interfaces to afford those interactions. The discipline concerned with the design, evaluation & implementation of various computing systems intended for human use will be put emphasis including the understanding of human behavior with interactive objects, knowing how to develop and evaluate interactive software using a human-centered approach, and general knowledge of HCI design issues with multiple types of interactive applications. The students in this course will work on individual and team assignments to design, implement, and evaluate different interactive systems and user interfaces.
