The course is an introduction to mineral processing including pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, and electro-metallurgy, as well as adaptive metallurgy. The course also covers terminology, principles, processes, flow diagrams, and overview of the Philippine metallurgical industries. The course aims to provide students a basic overview of metallurgy which is critical to producing metals essential to society’s daily lives.  In this course, the instructor shall discuss the topics and hand out reading assignments for additional learning. Assessments such as quizzes and assignments will be conducted to evaluate the learner’s understanding, analysis, and application of the topics.
