This course explores the principles and practices of pollution control and sanitation, focusing on the causes, effects, and management of environmental pollutants. Students will learn about the different types of pollution, their impact on human health and the environment, and the technological and policy solutions that aim to mitigate pollution. The course also covers sanitation methods, waste management practices, and the critical role of public health systems in ensuring clean and safe environments. The course will utilize lecture discussions, class activities such as group work, simulation, workshop, and field trips as modes to deliver instruction. Quizzes, examinations, and laboratory reports are the assessment methods.
