This course is designed to give students an understanding of the principles and practice of gravimetric and volumetric methods, potentiometry and spectrophotometry, analytical measurements and data analysis. It describes analytical processes and concentrates on the classical methods of analysis. This field of chemistry deals with the theory, development and practice of methods used to determine the composition of all phases of matter. The course aims to provide thorough background of chemical principles that are particularly important to this field. Hopefully, at the end of the semester students will be skilled and confident to obtain high-quality analytical data, in particular in gravimetric and titrimetric analyses.
