Covers the principles, the processes, the policies and guidelines and the important points of the conduct of EIA, IEE and the issuance of an ECC. A comprehensive discussion on the EIA process, the quantification of impacts, the formulation of mitigation measures and the monitoring of approved projects.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Discuss the concept of the Philippine EIS System (PEISS) incorporating CCA/DRR. 2. Conduct and discuss the different processes of the EIA.
3. Formulate EIS report.
4. Conduct and discuss the review of the EIA report/ project appraisal.
5. Conduct and discuss environmental impact monitoring and evaluation.
6. Conduct seminar-workshop for incorporating disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation concerns in the Philippine EIS System.
