The course focuses on the application of surveying principles to engineering, construction and industrial works, including the geometry and layout of road and railway curves, earthworks and lay-out of buildings.
It covers engineering survey principles and techniques as well as the basic principles of geometric design of road alignments, road structure, calculation of earthwork volumes and field methods used for setting out such works.
