This course provides students with the knowledge and skills in wildlife biology and techniques in research for conservation and management, with emphasis on Philippine wildlife.  It has been instrumental in the advancement of faculty, protected area managers, and research personnel of local and international universities, government agencies, and conservation organizations. After taking this course, students are skilled in Philippine wildlife identification and are able to conduct field surveys, wildlife habitat evaluations, and effective program implementations especially for protected area management. They can formulate and design research and conservation projects, education strategies and programs, for conservation and sustainable development.  Students are updated and exposed to local conservation issues and are also versed on global concerns.
