This course builds upon the foundation of GIS knowledge and skills acquired in introductory GIS course, and guides students in the development of increasingly sophisticated spatial analysis capabilities. The course involves the Advanced GIS methods and spatial analysis: theoretical/conceptual frameworks, methodological contexts, and practical aspects of GIS modeling and spatial analysis; spatial problem solving; advanced GIS applications: spatial interpolation, terrain modeling, 3D analysis and visualization, watershed/drainage analysis, network analysis, and suitability modeling.
