The course introduces the students to the principles and practices of natural disaster risk management by mitigation, adaptation, and preparedness strategies through scientific and technological strategies. It emphasizes the concepts, prediction, mitigation, avoidance, and policy/safety issues and how society confronts the dangers posed by these natural phenomena.
