Immunology is the study that deals with the response of an organism to antigenic challenges and its recognition of what is self and what is not. It deals with the defense mechanisms including all physical, chemical and biological properties of the organism that help it to combat its susceptibility to foreign invaders. This course enables the students to understand the basic concepts and principles of immunology.
At the conduct of the course, the students will be able to identify the key players of the human immune system. Mechanisms and factors involving immunity will also be discussed. In the laboratory part, the students will be given medical case studies related to immunity which will be discussed among their respective groups and in the class.- Teacher: JEAN VENUS RAMOSO
