This course deals with basic farm machineries and mechanization. It discusses the farm machineries safety, maintenance and operating procedures, farm power, different systems of internal combustion engines, tractor types and utilities, tillage-crop establishment-crop care-water harvesting-crop harvesting and threshing-crop drying and milling machineries, size reduction machineries, storage and the economics of farm machineries. The basic knowledge on these farm machineries and mechanization are great importance to the future agriculturists, agricultural technologists and agricultural technicians taking the programs of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with different majors and Bachelor of Agricultural Technology towards understanding in the development and mechanized agriculture industry.
