This course introduces the students to the theoretical concept of probability. The course covers the different approaches to assigning probability and some of the

set theoretical concepts that are relevant to probability. Also, the axiomatic definition of probability, a function, and their properties are given and described

through this course. Random variables, distributions, and expectations are explicitly defined and its properties, which are fundamentals in discussing various

parametric families of distribution functions. Parametric families of distribution are defined for both discrete and continuous random variables.
