English Enhancement Program (EEP) is an institutionalized General Education Course (GEC) delivered by the Department of Communication and Humanities (DCH) to enhance and improve students’ English language proficiency levels with a focus on academic, communicative, intercultural, and job-enabling English competencies putting a high premium on productivity in the academe, labor market, and various social domains.
EEP 2 (English for Speech Communication), the second of the three English Enhancement Program modules, is an enhancement in equipping the students’ oral and socio-linguistic skills for effective oral communication relevant to real-life situations. The lecture and laboratory components allow the students to practice speech deliveries in various communication situations. Anchored on Cognitive Behavior Theory and Computer-Assisted Language Learning, it targets your communicative competence as it will gauge various performance tasks while using computer technology in learning. The course's primary aim is to develop and enhance students' oral communication skills by engaging them in meaningful discussions and interactive activities.
