This course deals with water management and irrigation system. It discusses on basic calculation, soil-water-plant relationship, estimating water requirement of crops, methods of irrigation, irrigation efficiency, scheduling, and practices on crops, irrigation with saline water, cropping patterns, fertilizer use, water management in high water table areas, on-farm irrigation system, Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards on water management and irrigation and the environmental impact on Water Management. The basic knowledge on these principles and system are great importance for future agriculturists, agricultural technicians and agricultural technologists in the program of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with different majors and Bachelor of Agricultural technology towards understanding the development of agriculture industry.
