Cave Ecology is a major elective course designed for Biology students. The goal of this course is to introduce students and provide comprehensive view i.e., physical, chemical, ecological, and evolutionary, about what makes cave habitats a unique close system in comparison to surface ecosystems.

The major component of this course is divided into four parts: (1) physical and chemical characteristics of caves, (2) adaptations and biodiversity, (3) interactions and resource use, and (4) particular cave ecosystems and its conservation.
