This course is an
introduction to statistics and data analysis. It covers the following: reasons
for doing Statistics, collection, summarization and presentation of data, basic
concepts in probability, and hypothesis testing. A student of this course is expected
to present a special project or research report wherein actual data will be
gathered through student’s fieldwork as an application of the statistical
concepts learned from the course.
Students / learners will be guided to explore different methods of data
collection, analysis and presentation using spreadsheet and statistical
software.
