This course covers solid state elements of industrial control including Triacs, SCRs, triggering devices, computer control issues, photo-electronics, industrial applications of electronics and other control devices. The course will also introduce students to the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), concepts in Motion Control and Embedded Systems
The lectures will be available for streaming and download in the LMS. Face-to-face exams for midterms and finals while quizzes will be submitted online. Arduino-based final project with documentation (IEEE format) is required at the end of this course.
