An introductory course designed to acquaint students with concepts concerning the taxonomy, physiology, genetics, evolution and ecology of the different types of animals. Lectures on the anatomy and physiology of the various organ systems emphasize on mammalian examples. In the laboratory, the toad is used as a model system for the study of vertebrate anatomy and physiology. Field trips, video films, prepared slides and preserved specimens will be used as learning resources in the laboratory.

For the LECTURE, Sections ABI1 and ABI2, the Instructor is Mr. Laurence B. Calagui. He is also the faculty-in-charge in the LABORATORY for section ABI1. Section ABI2 Laboratory is facilitated by Mr. Brent Joy H. Hernando.
